Rumour of Sainsbury’s Jamie Oliver replacement

Retail / FMCG
July 19th, 2011

Lorraine Pascale, the Baking Made Easy host and former model, has reportedly been lined up to take over from Jamie Oliver in a deal worth £1m a year.

As detailed previously, (link) Oliver’s last campaign will air at Christmas, following the 11-year partnership. Pascale, a classically trained chef also runs her own cake-making business Ella’s Cakehouse which supplies London department store Selfridge, is said to have impressed Sainsbury’s with her combination of model looks and cooking experience.

At the time of the announcement, there has been no confirmation if Pascale will be hired as the face of Sainsbury’s in the same way Oliver was, or if she will be appointed on a more ad-hoc basis.
